
Shore Protection / Revetment / Reclamation Works
The shore protection works are measures aiming at protecting, preserving and / or restoring the shore and the dynamic coastal landscape as well as protecting against coastline retreat to a tolerable extent. Armour rocks as specified shall be placed or pitched accurately to the lines, level, and slopes. The armour rocks shall be placed such that each interlock each the other at the face. Any loose parts likely to be disturbed by wave action shall be removed and replaced until a compacted firm protection is achieved. Gaps and cavities between the armour rocks shall be filled with cement mortar.
